Coffee with Claude, explained

A circle of IXC Commons members deep in conversation at a Coffee with Claude session.

Coffee with Claude is one of the two formats IXC Commons runs sessions in, the other being Claude Code Workshops. Where a workshop is open to anyone with a laptop and a problem, Coffee with Claude does the opposite: it narrows the room to a single audience and goes deep on exactly that group.

The idea behind it

Most "AI for X" sessions try to cover everyone in one room, a bit of sales, a bit of marketing, a bit of code, and end up shallow on all of it. Coffee with Claude picks one audience per session instead. No slides, nobody presenting at the room; whatever gets built, gets built live, specific to the problems that audience actually has.

Every edition so far

  • Sales Edition, an AI sales agent built live, from prospecting to objection handling.
  • Entrepreneur Edition, planned as zero-to-launch, the room went deep on idea validation instead, using AI as a thinking partner rather than a landing-page generator.
  • Hands-on Developer Edition, the most code-heavy edition yet, five developers shipping real changes to real projects.
  • Marketing Special, an invite-only session for the community's marketing-minded builders.

Each one is documented in the session log, with real photos from the room.

Where it fits

Coffee with Claude and Claude Code Workshops are the two formats IXC Commons has run so far. Both follow the same underlying rule, no slides, something real gets built in the room, just aimed differently: workshops are open to anyone, Coffee with Claude is one audience at a time.
